This is two images, one verso and other other recto. There are drawings on both sides of the paper, 'Underwear and Study for Peter Nude, Sitting on Edge of Bed'.
Study for 'Peter Nude, Sitting on Edge of Bed' ink on paper, executed 1968. This large preparatory drawing of Peter Schlesinger is for one of Hockney's line drawings, in this preparatory drawing Hockney has added a beard to Peter.
'Underwear' on the reverse of the paper is also ink on paper, executed 1968. It looks to be a study for another drawing of Peter Schlesinger.
The work is confirmed as by David Hockney's hand by Mr Hockney himself.
