Modo Hosts Winning Works from the Plein Air Artist of the Year Competition David Hockney's Normandy Landscapes

Exhibited alongside David Hockney's Normandy Landscapes

From 17th June, MODO Gallery in central Cambridge presented a bold new exhibition featuring the winning works from the Plein Air Artist of the Year Competition in dialogue with the landscapes of David Hockney. While the competition works were on display over the summer, the exhibition has now been extended through 31st January 2026, allowing visitors to continue exploring Hockney’s immersive landscapes on the gallery’s top floor.

In a groundbreaking exhibition of works, this first of its kind installation is a vision of art, access, and the future of culture within the city.

All sales commissions from Plein Air Artisit of the Year sales were be split between Break Charity, Histon Manor's chosen charity and ACE C.I.C- an organisation supporting access to unbias art education in schools across the UK. Read more about them here.

MODO invites collectors, art lovers, students, and the wider community to join in this celebration of place, process, and artistic exploration.
